JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a leading financial institution’s data team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with financial regulations by working on innovative data solutions that enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy. Using advanced data analytics and engineering techniques, you will help optimize processes and provide critical insights to support regulatory reporting.
You will join a team currently developing a cutting-edge solution utilizing Azure Synapse integrated with Power BI dashboards. This project aims to transform how financial analysts access and analyze regulatory data, improving the efficiency of reporting processes and ensuring compliance with evolving standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience (minimum of 4+ years) as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with Azure Databricks.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Certification in Azure Data Engineering or related fields.

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and other relevant tools.
• Build and optimize data models to support efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Design and develop SQL queries and procedures to ensure data stability and performance.
• Maintain back-end infrastructure to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with data analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Implement best practices in data management, security, and governance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide ongoing support.
