We are looking for an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to strategically expand our cloud data platform. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the Swiss insurance and healthcare sectors. As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will combine your technical expertise with an understanding of business processes and requirements, actively driving the development of our data infrastructure alongside your new team members. Do you have a learning mindset and are you ready to contribute to the continuous development of our cloud technology within an interdisciplinary team? Then apply now and become part of our Data Intelligence team! We offer a diverse and exciting range of tasks, modern employment conditions, and the option of mobile working and working from home.

Here's how you can get involved:

  • Developing, implementing, and further developing modern and scalable data solutions in the cloud.
  • Designing end-to-end data architectures (Data Lakehouse, etc.)
  • Analyzing technical challenges and implementing effective solutions
  • Contributing to automated technical and professional monitoring solutions for infrastructures and data pipelines
  • Driving the migration of the existing data warehouse to a modern cloud analytics platform with Microsoft
  • Defining the technical requirements, architecture, security concepts and test strategies for our data products
  • Scaling and optimizing data processing and storage for large data volumes
  • Acting as a sparring partner on equal terms for specialist departments, IT and other interfaces

This is what makes you stand out:

  • You have a university degree in computer science (ETH / University / University of Applied Sciences) or a comparable qualification. Further training in data engineering is a significant advantage.
  • You have already gained comparable experience in the insurance/healthcare sector and are very familiar with the relevant regulatory framework (e.g., KVG, DSG, FINMA) and corresponding institutions such as the BAG or the joint institution KVG.
  • You impress with demonstrable experience in the design, operation, administration, and automation of data warehouses.
  • You have experience in ELT and ETL design and implementation.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of data warehousing and ideally experience with the Oracle stack.
  • You have experience in cloud computing and in the areas of data storage, data processing and data governance within cloud environments (Microsoft Fabric).
  • You work in a goal- and solution-oriented manner, think holistically and in a networked way, and at the same time distinguish yourself through your good communication skills, independence and openness to new perspectives.
