Your tasks

As a Data Engineer, your job is diverse and challenging: On the one hand, you are a solution architect, working closely with our clients – from startups to DAX-listed corporations – to design modern data platforms based on current best practices. On the other hand, you are a developer, bringing your ideas to life through hands-on coding.

Your job is done when you perfectly orchestrate the raw data from our customers' various sources, ensuring it flows reliably and cost-effectively through the company, so that the customers' dashboards are always up-to-date.

In our projects, we primarily use technologies from the Modern Data Stack. This means that you will quickly become familiar with and apply a wide range of solutions using tools like dbt, Snowflake, and Databricks across all hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP in your daily work.

A glimpse into your future everyday life:

  • You will work in cross-functional teams – together with data engineers, data analysts and business people, from us and our clients.
  • You design and develop robust and scalable data solutions according to customer project requirements.
  • You create, optimize, and orchestrate ELT processes to consolidate data from different sources into a data warehouse.
  • You'll join us in keeping an eye out for new technologies and trends.
  • You have a team behind you every day that supports you with even the most complex challenges along your projects.

Your profile

Our team is a mix of experienced and new people in the data field. For this position, we are looking for someone who has already gained initial experience in data processing in the cloud and is eager to take the next steps on their path to becoming a data expert.

It will be perfect if you meet the following requirements:

  • Most importantly: You are passionate about the topic of "data" and want to learn new things every day in a highly motivated team.
  • You have the "tinkerer gene" and are independently searching for the best solution to your current challenge.
  • Are you familiar with terms like Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Lakehouse, and do you have experience using Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks? Well done!
  • You have hands-on expertise in dealing with relational database technologies and in using high-performance SQL.
  • You have knowledge of one or more programming languages, preferably Python, Java, Scala
  • You already have experience in implementing cloud-native infrastructure and are familiar with essential concepts such as IAM, networking, and Docker – whether in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • You have fluent German skills (at least C2 level)
