What you’ll be doing: •Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into visualization tools. •Collaborate with cross-functional teamsto understand data requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient pipeline solutions. •Identify, evaluate, and integrate new data sources to enhance the quality and depth of available data. •Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the pipeline. •Optimize and fine-tune data pipelines for improved performance, scalability, and reliability. •Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot any issues or bottlenecks that may arise. •Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide appropriate solutions. •Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, and actively contribute to the improvement of data engineering processes and technologies within the organization. •Document data pipeline architecture, processes, and workflows for future reference and knowledge sharing. •Having in depth understanding of AWS or Azure offerings is a must. •In-depth understanding for DevOps processes is a must. What we’re looking for: •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. •Proven 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on building data pipelines. •Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, NodeJS, JavaScript, Typescript, Java, or Scala. •Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). •Proficiency in NoSQL is a big plus •Experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Apache Hadoop. •Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services. •Knowledge of data integration techniques, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data modelling. •Experience with integration platforms like Microsoft SSIS or MuleSoft a plus. •Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus. •Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail. •Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. •Monotype is expanding globally.
