Description
This role is part of the Digital Technology Services team at NOV. As a Data Engineer, you’ll support data and analytics initiatives by helping to build and maintain data pipelines, data infrastructure, and operationalize analytics applications. You’ll have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of technologies and work closely with experienced engineers, data scientists, and business teams. Responsibilities: Assist with the development and maintenance of data pipelines from multiple sources. Support the implementation of data solutions using Databricks and AWS tools. Help optimize existing data processes to improve reliability and performance. Contribute to small data migration efforts (e.g., moving data from OSI PI and Timescale into Databricks). Collaborate with data scientists to prepare and deliver data for analytics and machine learning projects. Sometimes contributing to the analytical build. Learn to work with streaming/event-based data processing technologies. Help maintain simple dashboards, reports, or lightweight applications (e.g., Streamlit). Participate in team discussions and adopt best practices for coding, version control, and data engineering.
