ABOUT THE ROLE

This role offers a unique opportunity to help build and evolve scalable, high-quality data systems that support everything from analytics and reporting to real-time operational decision-making. You’ll work closely with product managers, analysts, and engineers to design solutions that are robust, maintainable, and optimized for growth.
We believe in treating data as a product and applying strong software engineering practices to everything we build. You’ll also play a role in the development of internal tools, including natural language interfaces powered by AI, that help democratise data access across the company.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Kafka, and Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms.
  • Design and evolve our Snowflake-based data warehouse with a strong focus on dimensional modelling and performance optimization.
  • Automate infrastructure and deployments using Terraform and manage workflows in a cloud-native environment.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources (internal databases, APIs, and third-party tools) with best practices in scalability and security.
  • Support our team’s shift toward modular, testable, and well-documented pipelines using software development best practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable code in Python, including internal domain-specific transformations and utilities.
  • Operate within a modern DevOps toolchain, leveraging AWS services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and SageMaker.
  • Contribute to the development and expansion of AI-powered tools, including our internal Slack bot that enables natural language access to data and documentation.
