Peraton’s Space & Intelligence Sector is looking for a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Herndon, VA office. The selected candidate will perform data engineering associated with synchronizing new and existing systems for DIA. The candidate will have experience performing data engineering associated with database pipelines and schemas for a multimillion-dollar program that supports DoD and the IC. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 7+ years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of the degree requirement Experience with PostgreSQL, Python, Java or Scala Understanding the concepts of data lake, data warehousing including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data modeling is essential. Familiarity with cloud-based storage and computing platforms such as Azure, and AWS Must have Neo4J and Anzograph experience Proficiency in version control systems such as Git and understanding the concepts of branching, merging, and tagging is essential. Target Salary Range $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
