    Your Voyage Ahead:
    As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the backbone of our data ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:

Data Pipeline Architecture and Infrastructure

  • Design, create, and maintain optimal data pipelines from multiple data sources.
  • Build infrastructure for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets to meet both functional and non-functional business requirements.

Data Validation and Warehousing

  • Ensure robust data validation and verification processes to guarantee data accuracy for reporting.
  • Develop and maintain data warehousing approaches, including modeling and pipelining data for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Keep data secure and separate in accordance with best practice guidelines.

Process Optimization and Scalability

  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and scaling infrastructure.

Collaboration and Support

  • Ensure data accuracy by liaising with other business functions as necessary.
  • Provide support, documentation, and training to team members to align with organizational goals.

Technology and Innovation

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cloud data technology to leverage innovations effectively.

This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge projects while contributing to the evolution of our data-driven decision-making culture.
Recommended to bring on board:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume, complex data from diverse sources.
  • Strong understanding of data management, cleansing, and query optimization to inform pipeline and model design.
  • Proficiency with cloud technologies (AWS preferred) and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and source control (e.g., Liquibase, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
  • Experience modeling datasets for visualization tools like Power BI, QlikView, or Tableau.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.

Desirable:

  • Experience with AWS services such as Glue, RDS, Aurora, S3, Athena, and EMR.
  • Advanced knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
