Piper Companies is seeking a Data Engineer highly skilled with collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover insights and support informed decision-making within an organization. The ideal Data Engineer will be hybrid 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) in Cary, NC.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DATA ENGINEER INCLUDE:

• Identify improvement opportunities by collaborating with business leaders and users.
• Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and pain points.
• Design and optimize complex data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and analysis.
• Work with analysts and associates to process and analyze information.
• Create process flows for business procedures and evaluate potential system enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE DATA ENGINEER INCLUDE:

• 5+ years of experience working hands on with SQL and Power BI.
• 2+ years of experience in the financial services field
• Advanced understanding of GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding Python
• Ability to work with multiple projects at once
• Communicate and document requirements from business stakeholders and technical leaders
• Bachelors degree in computer information systems or related field, Masters preferred.
• Must be able to hold a security clearance in the US
