This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Systems Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to work across data pipelines, analytics, and infrastructure. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in turning complex systems into actionable insights that drive our innovative simulation technologies. As a key player in a remote team, you'll design, build, and operate data systems foundational to our analytics capabilities and AI-enabled workflows, ensuring accuracy and performance. This position requires collaboration with engineers and product teams to enhance and optimize data reliability and accessibility, impacting our operations on a global scale. \n Accountabilities Design, build, and operate scheduled and event-driven data pipelines for simulation outputs, telemetry, logs, dashboards, and scenario metadata. Build and operate data storage systems (structured and semi-structured) optimized for scale, versioning, and replay. Support analytics, reporting, and ML workflows by exposing clean, well-documented datasets and APIs. Enable scenario comparison, lineage, and traceability across time, versions, and parameter sets. Work with engineers to define data contracts and schemas between the simulation environment and downstream systems. Monitor and improve data reliability, performance, and availability. Requirements 3 - 7 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or Data Platform Engineer. Strong experience building production data pipelines (batch and/or streaming). Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one data processing framework. Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Familiarity with data modeling, schema design, and data validation. Experience working with engineers and analysts. Ability to reason about data as a product, not a byproduct. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this position along with willingness and ability to get security clearance. Benefits Fully remote work environment.
