This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Engineer in Latin America. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and integration solutions that power critical business decisions. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, supporting cross-functional teams by ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and optimized for analysis. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of data-driven processes, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions. This role provides the opportunity to work with modern cloud platforms, large-scale databases, and business intelligence tools, while continuously improving data quality, performance, and accessibility across the organization. Accountabilities Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and integration workflows to support analytics and business intelligence needs. Design and maintain data models, ensuring accurate documentation of objects, fields, and relationships. Monitor data pipeline execution and performance, triaging and escalating issues as necessary. Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to improve data models, pipeline efficiency, and data accessibility. Implement processes for data quality monitoring and validation to ensure reliable production data. Perform data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues, supporting accurate reporting and decision-making. Document processes, contribute to engineering wikis, and write unit/integration tests to maintain system reliability. Work within cloud environments (AWS/Linux) and integrate with diverse data sources and platforms. BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in data pipeline development using tools such as SnapLogic, Datastage, Informatica, or equivalent. 3+ years of SQL experience; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus. Strong knowledge of AWS services including S3, Athena, EC2, EMR, and Glue. Experience with database technologies such as SQLServer, Redshift, Postgres, RDS, and multiple RDBMS systems. Familiarity with data warehouse design, including star schemas, denormalization, and change data capture. Experience with data integration platforms and ETL best practices. Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and IT operations for highly available services. Familiarity with Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML) and cloud/SaaS data systems (e.g., Salesforce). Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or GoodData. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
