We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join as the second member of our Data/Engineering team. This team is responsible for building our internal applications & reporting tools, as well as any other corporate & kitchen IT needs. Your main focus will be ensuring we continue to deliver useful and timely insights across the organization as we grow. The right candidate is a problem solver excited to dive deep into the operational challenges our teams face and the data we have available to help make our managers more effective. Benefits Unlimited PTO Medical, Dental, & Vision plan 401k with a 4% employer match Career advancement opportunities As the Data Engineer, you will work closely with our Business Operations Engineer to: Become an expert on our dbt pipelines and models, owning all ad-hoc data requests and questions Understand the needs of our various teams and identify opportunities to gather and use new data Design, build, and maintain new pipelines to integrate data from first and third party sources Own data models and quality testing to support internal BI tools and ensure data quality Develop visualizations, reports, and dashboards for use across the organization Document pipelines, systems, and models Understand the tools our teams are using and source data they provide Optimize queries & pipelines to scale with our kitchen growth and reporting needs Work on other corporate IT & system setup tasks and help cover any tech issues in kitchens You will bring: Fluency in SQL Experience with dbt or other data modeling tools and experience building data pipelines Experience with Python or another programming language Experience with data pipelines, cloud data warehouses (ex. BigQuery, Snowflake), and managing data quality & consistency Strong analytical thinking, excellent verbal & written communication Experience using data to solve operational problems Eagerness to learn and deeply understand restaurant operations We understand that there is no such thing as the “perfect prior work experience” and encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the desired qualifications.
