This is a hybrid role with regular travel in the London area. All applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Data Engineer specialising in Snowflake, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of cloud data platforms, often working with a wide array of cloud services and tools. You’ll play a hands-on role in delivering data solutions that help clients extract insight and business value, while also promoting engineering best practices.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake
• Building efficient ELT/ETL pipelines using DBT and other modern tooling
• Writing and optimising complex SQL queries for large datasets
• Applying software engineering principles to data systems, including version control, testing, monitoring and CI/CD
• Working with cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP
• Performing architectural assessments and selecting fit-for-purpose solutions in collaboration with clients
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and operate solutions in production
• Supporting real-time and near-real-time data analytics initiatives
• Leveraging orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Azure Data Factory or Fivetran

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

• Solid experience designing and delivering Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions
• Strong background performing architectural assessments and collaborating with stakeholders to define optimal solutions
• Strong SQL skills with experience across relational and non-relational databases
• Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, Java or Scala
• Hands-on experience using DBT for pipeline development and transformation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Knowledge of orchestration tooling (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran)

Desirable:

• Experience deploying AI/ML models in production environments
• Familiarity with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Kinesis, Athena)
• Exposure to real-time data streaming and analytics paradigms
