About the Role

CGM is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d) to design, build, and operate the data pipelines powering ifap DataServices. You will transform curated pharmaceutical, prescription, and clinical reference data into reliable, up-to-date, high-performance datasets for SaaS products and partners.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, AI Engineers, and Architects to develop Data Products that enable AI-native features and partner integrations. You will combine strong data engineering practices with modern AI-assisted development, with a focus on data quality, lineage, observability, testing, CI/CD, schema management, and clear ownership of production pipelines and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate data pipelines that power ifap DataServices.
• Transform curated pharmaceutical, prescription, and clinical reference data into reliable, current, and performant datasets for SaaS products and partners.
• Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, FastAPI services, and Apache Spark/Scala workloads.
• Ensure high standards for data quality, data lineage, observability, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, AI Engineers, and Architects to design Data Products.
• Develop data solutions that enable AI-native features and partner integrations.
• Use Claude Code and AI Agents to accelerate pipeline development, schema migrations, and data analysis.
• Help establish reusable Data Engineering skills, workflows, and development practices across the team.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and structured schema management.
• Maintain clear ownership of data pipelines and services.
• Apply engineering best practices to production data systems in a healthcare environment
