Your role at St John of God Health Care
You will be responsible for turning raw data into well-structured, reliable data systems that support reporting, analytics, and operational needs. The role focuses on expanding and optimising St John of God Health Care’s data pipelines and architecture, with an emphasis on improving data flow, performance, and integration across cross-functional teams.

The Position

  • Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load structured data from multiple source systems into a scalable enterprise data warehouse.
  • Develop and optimise data workflows using SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Support the organisation’s migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) by contributing to the modernisation of existing data pipelines and architecture.
  • Improve the efficiency, scalability, and quality of data processes through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and analysts to gather, clarify, and prioritise data requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that meet operational and analytical reporting needs.
  • Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture diagrams, and support guides.
  • Assist in the configuration and management of data infrastructure and BI deployment environments.
  • Ensure all solutions follow best practices for testing, version control, change management, and data governance.
  • Respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner, ensuring operational data systems are supported effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain system availability and performance.
  • Provide after-hours support as required for critical data systems and scheduled deployments.

You will have experience with a range of data manipulation tools, experience working with data engineering frameworks and best practices for metadata-driven engineering for data pipelines and Data warehouse ETL. Additionally, you will have extensive experience writing and optimising complex SQL queries and technical expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services and Analysis Services.
To succeed you will have minimum 3 years’ experience in the design and delivery of large/complex data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.
