Switchboard is seeking a Data Engineer on behalf of our client, Open Technology Solutions. In this role, you'll build and maintain the data pipelines that power critical business operations—moving data between systems, transforming it for analytics, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and reliably. As a Data Engineer at Open Technology Solutions, you will: Design, build, and optimize data using tools like FiveTran, dbt, and Python to move and analyze data to/from Snowflake, SaaS API’s, on-prem databases (Oracle, SQL Server), and other datastores Architect and implement data structures in Snowflake that support data ingestion, integration, and advanced analytics capabilities Transform raw data into analytics-ready structures using SQL, Python, SnowSQL, and modern transformation tools Develop automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data quality, pipeline reliability, and overall infrastructure health Collaborate with senior data engineers and cross-functional teams to solve complex data challenges and break down silos Research and recommend new tools and methodologies to continuously improve our data infrastructure Translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language when working with business stakeholders and client teams at partner organizations (FourLeaf, CQ, and Bellco) 5+ years of data warehouse and data engineering experience Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python Hands-on experience with data pipeline design and automation Experience with databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake Familiarity with enterprise ETL/ELT tools such as Fivetran, dbt, Matillion, or similar platforms Experience with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar) Strong documentation skills and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in our Englewood, CO office) Compensation: $120K - $135K salary + bonus Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance (starting first full month) 401(k) with company matching 11 paid holidays + PTO Student loan paydown program (up to $10,000 lifetime benefit) Tuition reimbursement (up to $5,250 annually) Service anniversary bonuses Company-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability Wellness reimbursement and additional unique perks
