Our main Engineering challenges at Teads Build efficient and easy-to-use web products used by thousands of users working for the world’s most premium publishers, advertisers, and agencies. Rich and diverse tech stack and system architecture to optimize for performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. We use mostly Scala and TypeScript, among others. Working in a very high-traffic environment (2.2 billion users per month, 100 billion events per day) with low latency and high availability constraints (2 million requests per second, responses in less than 150 milliseconds). Management of large datasets with milliseconds order of magnitude access time, to compute in a near real-time complex auction resolution algorithm (18 million predictions per second). A fast-changing environment where we continuously collaborate with Product teams and constantly adapt our Cloud infrastructure for new features and Products. About the opportunity Teads, a global leader in the digital advertising space, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data Group for a temporary period (approx. 12 months). This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned engineer to step directly into a high-scale environment, take ownership of critical data pipelines, and work with a cutting-edge modern data stack. We are looking for a proactive professional who can hit the ground running, energized by turning raw, complex data into clear, data-driven strategies. If you are a resourceful engineer who excels both independently and as part of a collaborative team, and you are looking for an impactful interim role, we encourage you to apply. What will you do? End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of the data lifecycle during this period, from gathering business requirements to implementing and maintaining robust ETL processes in production. Modern Data Engineering: Design and maintain scalable solutions using Python, Scala, Airflow, and dbt to enhance our data infrastructure. Innovation & AI: Leverage Generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLMs) to optimize development workflows, code quality, and documentation. Data Modeling: Translate complex business needs into efficient data models within our Data Warehouse (BigQuery), ensuring high availability and accuracy. Collaboration: Work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and Analysts to understand goals and ensure data solutions align with business needs. What will you bring to the team? Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field. At least 2 years of proven experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing. Excellent proficiency in SQL (Complex queries, joins, performance tuning) – Mandatory. Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English (written and verbal). Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and adapt to existing workflows ("Hit the ground running").
