Description:
Data Engineer providing specialized infrastructure development and database architecture support for the Ship Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Readiness and Effectiveness Measuring (SHAREM) program at the Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC). This engineering-focused position emphasizes building, developing, and creating robust technical solutions within the Naval Ship Tracking, Reporting, and Analysis Tool (NSTRAT) system and FLANKSPEED IL6 AZURE cloud environment. The role combines systems engineering expertise with advanced application development capabilities to engineer comprehensive data analysis tools and create automated solutions that support exercise reconstruction and analysis activities for the REM program.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of Navy experience managing Navy computer networks
• 3+ years of experience using Python and other programming tools to script data analysis products

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Hold and maintain certifications and/or training to maintain FLANKSPEED IL6 AZURE Privileged Access to include:
• AZURE Administrator Associate AZ-104
• IAT Level II iaw DoD 8750 Approved Baseline Certifications

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS

• Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance required at time of hire
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
• Background Check: Must pass NCIS background investigation
• CAC Requirements: Must obtain and maintain a Government Common Access Card

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standard office environment with extended periods of computer-based development work
• Ability to work with multiple computer systems and development environments simultaneously
• Capability to work extended hours during system development cycles and critical system deployments
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds (computer equipment/documentation)
