DATA ENGINEER (TEMPORARY) - NL BASED

Are you ready to tackle complex challenges and shape the future of data solutions? For our client, a big energy company, we are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our dynamic DevOps team. In this role, you’ll design, create, and maintain innovative solutions using the MS Azure technology stack while collaborating closely with various departments. This is a temporary role from September 2025 to end of June 2026.

REQUIREMENTS DATA ENGINEER (TEMPORARY) - NL BASED

  • Working experience with Analytics & BI tools in MS Azure (e.g. Synapse, SQL Database, Databricks).
  • Hands-on mentality to solve complex issues and strong questioning drive.
  • Familiarity with data sharing concepts in the cloud.
  • Agile mindset and experience with SCRUM methodology.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, and Pyspark.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, testing, and version control (e.g. Azure DevOps, GIT).
  • Familiarity with Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts.
  • Experience implementing Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Understanding of IT Architecture guidelines and hybrid architectural patterns.
  • Understanding of utility business processes and relevant IT landscapes (e.g. SAP ERP, GDPR).
Responsibilities
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into IT specifications.
  • Provide expert advice to team members and collaborate with various departments.
  • Proactively adapt solutions that add value to meet the needs of different departments.
  • Design, build, and maintain data lake solutions for internal sharing and external stakeholders.
  • Implement traditional database and data warehouse concepts to structure data in cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments for self-service reporting solutions.
  • Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines and APIs.
  • Work with streaming data analytics in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Participate actively in DevOps teams, collaborating with architects, requirement engineers, data scientists, and business specialists.
