Your next career opportunity As a Data Engineer in the Data Operations & Analytics team at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining data pipelines within our Snowflake data warehouse environment. You'll leverage DBT for data transformation, manage infrastructure with Terraform, and drive continuous improvement to ensure stability and scalability. This role offers you the opportunity to apply cutting-edge data engineering practices in a dynamic higher education environment, directly impacting the university's data-driven decision-making capabilities. Your responsibilities will include: Pipeline Development: Create and maintain DBT models and data pipelines for efficient data loading and transformation in Snowflake. DataOps Leadership: Collaborate to establish and improve DataOps processes and frameworks, ensuring best practices in pipeline management. Environment Management: Lead the administration of Snowflake environments, including security configuration and access control. Release Coordination: Participate in release management, ensuring smooth deployment and change control processes. You may be a great fit if: You are an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and DBT, possessing excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design scalable data solutions in a complex, enterprise environment. You may also: Hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT for data pipeline development. Demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code. Possess experience with DevOps tools like Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jenkins.
