YOU AND YOUR SKILLS

You have experience within the Automotive industry, fault tracing, and diagnostics. You are comfortable using Automotive protocols, such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Flexray, UDS and DLT. You have experience from using Canalyzer and CANoe.
You have ability to plan and prioritize with a flexible mind-set and with high integrity. Your analytical skills are excellent, and you like to work independently as well as in teams. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal help you to collaborate in an efficient way with colleagues and suppliers. We want you to be confident in your profession and transparent in your communication.
You have a BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Engineering or equivalent area and you have a Swedish B driver’s license.
At Volvo Cars, English is our corporate language, requiring fluent skills both written and oral.

Responsibilities:

The Wireless Data Collection team is responsible for developing and maintaining the advanced remote engineering platform that helps engineers in R&D with their daily work towards data-driven development.
You will define requirements based on inhouse stakeholder needs and coordinate the development of the collection systems HW and SW with suppliers. You will manage the portal by matching the relevant car with the data collection configurations in all vehicle variants, and you will continuously work with improvements, such as automatization for installing collection systems, and for configuring cars in the portal.
You will work with verification both when deploying new SW and setting up new assignments depending on the need for data collection capability and when installing systems in a new program or vehicle model. Fault tracing will also be part of the work in collaboration with colleagues with various skills.
You will work in close collaboration with Data Engineers, software development teams building applications used for collecting and distributing CoDev data, as well as suppliers for HW and SW development.
