A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $91,200.00 to $115,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Data Engineer What Will You Be Doing: World Wide Technology is seeking a Data Engineer to support supply chain outcomes across the order-to-cash lifecycle—from the moment an order is placed through fulfillment and delivery to the customer. This role is intentionally open to candidates with a range of experience. Depending on background and demonstrated capability, you may contribute to well-scoped pipeline work or take ownership of larger, end-to-end data solutions and mentor others. We value engineers who are curious, eager to learn, and motivated to continuously improve how work gets done, and who are comfortable applying AI-assisted approaches as part of modern engineering workflows. What We Do Build and maintain data pipelines that support order management, inventory availability, warehouse operations, fulfillment, shipping, and delivery across the order-to-cash process. Perform and design data transformations and data quality practices. Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Analytics stakeholders. Participate in code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions. Apply AI-assisted techniques to improve analysis and documentation while maintaining accountability. Contribute to a curiosity-driven, learning-oriented culture and take ownership of data problems end-to-end. Qualifications • Experience working with data pipelines, data transformations, or data integration • Working knowledge of SQL and at least one programming or scripting language commonly used in data engineering • Supply chain domain awareness, including how orders progress through fulfillment and delivery within an order-to-cash flow • Comfort working with data sourced from Oracle (Oracle experience is not required; our primary supply chain data is Oracle-based) • Interest in and comfort applying AI-assisted approaches to support learning, analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation • Ability to evaluate AI-assisted outputs and apply sound engineering judgment • Growth-oriented mindset demonstrated by eagerness to learn, curiosity in ambiguous situations, and openness to feedback • Strong ownership, collaboration, and communication skills
Responsibilities
The Data Engineer will build and maintain data pipelines supporting supply chain outcomes across the order-to-cash lifecycle, including order management, fulfillment, and delivery. Responsibilities also involve performing data transformations, ensuring data quality, partnering with stakeholders, participating in code reviews, and applying AI-assisted techniques.
