Description

Company descriptionAs one of the leading service providers for electrical safety in Germany, we test electrical equipment, systems and machinery nationwide in accordance with DGUV 3 and DGUV 4. With around 500 colleagues, we support companies from a wide range of industries in creating safe working environments and reliably meeting legal requirements – from DAX-listed corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises. What sets us apart? Short decision-making processes, genuine responsibility, and a team that works together on a task that counts every day: safety for people and businesses.Job descriptionWe turn data into something that can be used. You will develop BI solutions for our Data & BI team and ensure clean, usable data. You will work closely with the colleague responsible for our data warehouse and pipelines.

  • Development and expansion of Power BI solutions, including technical co-responsibility for the underlying data model.
  • Designing reports that users actually understand and enjoy using. This involves not only the technical implementation, but also a good sense of UX and UI.
  • Working with relational databases: data modeling, understanding structure, advanced SQL
  • Connecting and integrating existing systems such as MS Dynamics, Sipgate and other systems into the data landscape
  • Support in setting up and maintaining data pipelines with Azure Data Factory in coordination with the responsible colleague.
  • Ensuring data quality through testing, validation, and monitoring of the pipelines
  • Programming for the automation of data flows (Python), clean version control and review practices via GitHub
  • Technical integration of AI/LLM APIs into existing data processes, e.g. automated text classification or data enrichment.
  • Close technical coordination with our Business Owner BI and Product Owner Data for the technical implementation of prioritized requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in BI development and database work. Prior experience with data pipelines is advantageous.
  • Excellent SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational database structures
  • Prior experience with Azure Data Factory or comparable ETL/ELT tools is required. While a colleague on the team is responsible for pipeline depth, you should understand the underlying logic and be able to contribute your own ideas.
  • Experience with cloud services, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent knowledge of Power BI development, not just reporting consumption.
  • A good feel for UI/UX. You understand what users really need and consider solutions from backend to user interface, instead of just fulfilling requirements.
  • Solid programming skills (Python preferred) and experience with Git/GitHub
  • Ideally, experience with integrating AI/LLM APIs into data processes.
  • Ideally, a basic understanding of data security and GDPR in handling data.
  • Ideally, an aptitude for process analysis; not a must, but a plus.
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented work style
  • Very good German skills
