Description

OVERVIEW

At Qualitymark Protection, we’re looking for a talented and proactive BI & Data Engineering Analyst to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you’ll blend traditional business intelligence with modern data engineering techniques to support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
You’ll help shape and deliver our MI/BI strategy, working with relational databases, automating workflows, and developing scalable data solutions that underpin strategic insights. Partnering closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll build intuitive dashboards, streamline data pipelines, and deliver high-impact reporting that supports our ambitious growth plans.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex, multi-source datasets
  • Proven ability to transform raw data into insightful reports and business recommendations
  • Experience with Power BI (or similar tools), including DAX, data modeling, and visualisation best practices
  • Proficient in SQL, with a working knowledge of relational databases and data warehouse concepts
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g. Power Automate, Python, or similar) to streamline data workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving
  • Able to manage data pipelines and reporting solutions with minimal supervision
  • Effective communicator who can convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience within a regulated industry, ideally financial services or insurance
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce
  • Exposure to cloud-based data tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or similar)
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
Responsibilities
  • Develop a detailed understanding of our brokered insurance products and the data landscape that supports them
  • Analyse and report on business performance, including policy uptake, installer performance, and operational SLAs
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI to support teams across operations, compliance, finance, and customer service
  • Build and optimise SQL queries and data models to ensure accurate, scalable, and timely data delivery
  • Automate and orchestrate reporting workflows and ETL processes to reduce manual intervention and increase efficiency
  • Produce monthly board and leadership packs, interpreting key performance metrics and offering insights on trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Support the identification of business risks and consumer trends through data analysis, including installer performance and customer satisfaction data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data capture, data quality, and reporting practices, ensuring alignment with FCA and regulatory expectations
  • Champion the adoption of business intelligence tools and practices across the organisation, embedding a data-first culture
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and data engineering support for strategic projects and process improvements
