About the role This is an internship role within the Engineering department. 2026 Auctane Summer Internship Program: Please read before applying Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate university program. Students graduating in May 2026 are not eligible for the program Duration: Paid, 9-week internship Schedule: 40 hours per week, with the exception of the week of July 4th. Program Dates: June 9, 2026 — First day of onsite orientation August 13, 2026 — Final day of the program Location: Hybrid role based in Austin, TX In-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Remote: Monday and Friday Interviews: Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis through March 31st What will you be doing? Collaborating with a team of data scientists to complete AI and machine learning projects Writing code and contributing to software projects Participating in code reviews and pair programming sessions Learning and using new technologies and programming languages as needed Solving technical problems and debugging issues Participating in meetings and project planning sessions Gaining exposure to and learning about different aspects of the software development lifecycle What are we looking for? Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science or a related field Proficiency in Python programming Strong problem-solving and communication skills A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies What will make you stand out? Located in or near the Austin, Texas area Evidence of your proficiency in one or more areas of the technical stack below Familiarity with AI development tools, a plus The Tech Python Nice to have: PyTorch, Polars, Airflow SQL Git AWS/GCP BigQuery/Redshift Vertex AI/Sagemaker Claude Code What do we offer? 🏠 We are a hybrid company.
