Description Chmura Economics & Analytics (Chmura) is a leading economic advisory and technology development firm specializing in “big data” analytics. We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineering Intern to support our Engineering team. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our amazing team of data engineers and product developers - contributing to developing our state-of-the-art software and data products. Responsibilities: Work with the Engineering team to roll out new data driven capabilities. Participate in the full application development lifecycle. Contribute to the design, development, testing, optimization, and documentation of data products. Build data pipelines, solutions, and products with a high degree of reliability, scalability and security. Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ensure data integrity and usability. Communicate solutions by explaining the design, lineage, and logic of the data models and processes. Requirements You have implementation skills with programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or C++. You have experience working with querying languages such as SQL. You have good knowledge of algorithms, data structures and OOP principles; experience with distributed computing and data science is a plus. You are excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team. You are excited to solve unique business problems and participate in a collaborative team environment. Eagerness to learn from and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes. Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems, or a related degree. Must be a rising Junior or Senior. Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership for your work.
