Position Summary: McGrath Pharmacies is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry Clerk to support billing operations during the flu clinic season. This role focuses on accurately entering, verifying, and maintaining billing data for services provided at flu clinics. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Medical administrative experience is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities: • Accurately input flu clinic patient data into the billing system in accordance with provincial health billing guidelines.

  • Review patient information, consent forms, and physician records to ensure completeness and accuracy of billing records.
  • Submit claims to appropriate provincial health plans or insurance providers.
  • Monitor and reconcile billing discrepancies, rejections, or errors, and coordinate resolutions.
  • Maintain organized records (both electronic and physical) for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and clinic staff to clarify billing details as needed.
  • Follow data entry protocols and confidentiality standards at all times.
  • Assist with generating billing reports and summaries for internal use.

Qualifications & Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Medical office administration training or experience is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and medical billing software.
  • Fast and accurate typing and data entry skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with OHIP or other public health billing systems is considered an advantage.

Preferred Experience: • Previous experience in a medical administrative or billing role.

  • Exposure to flu clinic or pharmacy-related documentation workflows.
  • Knowledge of NB provincial immunization billing protocols.

Hours and Location of Work• Work location will be between the two pharmacies; shift hours are flexible and can be discussed further during the interview process.

  • Expected commitment is approximately 20–30 hours per week for 8–10 weeks.
