Koniag IT Systems, a subsidiary of Koniag Management Solutions, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Data Entry Operator I (SCLS) to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining data in various computer systems and databases, supporting our IT operations and services. The ideal candidate should possess strong data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining data integrity.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust

WORK EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Excellent typing and data entry skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Work under close supervision and follow specific procedures or detailed instructions.
• Work from various standardized source documents that have been coded and require little or no selecting, coding or interpreting of data.
• Familiarity with various computer systems, databases, and data entry software used in IT operations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain data confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Associate’s degree or related post-secondary education in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience with data entry in a government or military IT environment.
• Knowledge of relevant software applications, databases, and data management practices used in the IT industry.
• Familiarity with data entry quality control procedures and best practices.
• Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity principles.

THE DATA ENTRY OPERATOR I WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Entering data from various sources, such as paper documents, spreadsheets, and electronic files, into designated computer systems and databases with high accuracy.
• Verifying the completeness and accuracy of data entered by cross-checking with source materials and resolving any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
• Adhering to established data entry procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Maintaining organized records of data entry activities and generating reports as required.
• Assisting with clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents related to data entry operations.
• Ensuring data security and confidentiality by following company policies and procedures.
• Providing support in data management and maintenance activities as needed.
