THE TEAM

The Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AiDA) Office is responsible for the management and use of data across ASIC as well as the development and execution of ASIC’s overall data strategy. The team works collaboratively across the organisation to ensure ASIC can fully exploit all relevant data assets, both internal and external, in achieving the ASIC vision. The team oversees data related activities spanning data sourcing, data infrastructure, reporting, data science/analytics and data governance.

ASIC’s Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AiDA) Office is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to provide support for business processes within Data Governance and AiDA.

  • Salary from $101,643 to $107,911 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuation

THE ROLE

The Data Governance Analyst at ASIC supports business processes within Data Governance and AiDA, focusing on analysis, maintenance, and cataloguing. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing ASIC’s Enterprise Data Governance Platform, managing data architectures, and ensuring data quality. The role also involves supporting platform solutions, performing root cause analyses, developing database queries, and maintaining data policies and standards to promote their adoption across ASIC.

More specifically, you will:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ASIC’s Enterprise Data Governance Platform, including technology and data architectures, data management, data matching, and data quality frameworks.
  • Provide ongoing support for the enterprise data governance platform, including system upgrades and patching.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the data governance platform.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve data-related issues as they arise.
  • Develop database queries for data platforms within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and Data Governance Platform (DGP).
  • Maintain and implement data policies, standards, and processes to support the Data Governance Framework and drive adoption across ASIC business units.
  • Share knowledge with team members and data users to enhance data governance capabilities across ASIC.
