We are partners with leading edge software platforms including Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Alteryx, Collibra, and Salesforce. What we are looking for Data Governance Architect to join our team and work alongside one of our financial services clients. Initial 6 month contract with strong potential to extend. Hybrid model of 2 days in the CBD office. 5–7+ years’ experience delivering data governance architecture within large, regulated enterprises, with clear accountability for architectural direction rather than operational execution. Demonstrated capability designing end‑to‑end data lifecycle controls (create, use, retain, archive, dispose), embedded into system and platform architecture. Strong experience translating regulatory, privacy, and records obligations into system‑enforceable technical requirements and patterns. Proven expertise in defining retention, disposal, legal hold, and exception handling approaches that reduce over‑retention risk and support auditability. Experience working with various aspects of data governance, including data disposition, data quality, and critical data elements (CDEs), with exposure to supporting governance tooling and implementation. Experience working across core operational platforms and enterprise data platforms (cloud and on‑prem). Location Sydney, New South Wales Employment Type Contractor
