• Together with the team, you will further develop the BVG-wide data governance framework and shape standards, roles, processes, guidelines and quality benchmarks for the secure and uniform handling of data.
• You translate professional, regulatory and technical requirements into practical governance concepts and implement them together with data protection, information security, compliance, IT and the specialist departments.
• You will actively help to embed data governance in the business units, provide methodological support to data owners and data stewards, and strengthen a modern, responsible data culture.
• Furthermore, you will develop approaches for data quality, metadata management, data catalog and business glossary, and ensure greater transparency and better usability of the data assets.
• You prepare concepts, decision-making documents and recommendations for management levels and the board of directors in a way that is tailored to the target audience, understandable and implementation-oriented.

qualification

• Completed academic degree* (Master's or Diploma from a university) in the field of business informatics, computer science, data science or business administration, or equivalent skills and knowledge based on many years of professional experience
• Solid experience and a good understanding of modern data governance frameworks, especially regarding role models, data quality, metadata management, data catalogs and business glossaries
• very good German skills (at least language level C1) and sound professional English skills in spoken and written form
