Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking to hire a Data Analyst. This role involves defining data requirements, analyzing large datasets, and delivering actionable insights within the Data Analytics team. The Data Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement, ensuring data quality and supporting strategic business goals. Additionally, the Data Analyst will document technical attributes, business descriptions, and data lineage, and manage metadata in Collibra. The objective is to leverage data proficiency to support strategic business goals and enhance operational efficiency. How you'll make an impact Analyze large datasets using SQL, SAS, Python, and other technologies to profile data, identify fit of data to requirements and develop plans to address gaps needed to deliver actionable insights. Ensure data quality by profiling source data and maintaining integrity. Identify key metrics and data sources and conduct data profiling to identify fit of data to requirements. Develop plans to address gaps. Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain data security protocols. Implement best practices for data handling, storage, and sharing to protect sensitive information. Data-Driven Collaboration: Collaborate with business owners to identify revenue and customer engagement opportunities using data-driven insights. Business Value Identification: Influence product teams by recommending data-based actions that create business value. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. About you Bachelor's degree in Computers/Maths/Stats or related fields. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis. Familiarity with Collibra or similar metadata management tools. Strong understanding of data analysis and data quality principles. Familiarity with data governance, data privacy, and security best practices. Experience with foundational source systems and metadata management. Ability to document technical attributes, business descriptions, and data lineage. Agile delivery, including user story grooming and sprint planning, development, and user acceptance. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with the team and stakeholders. Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
