Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input and update patient demographics, medical histories, and treatment information into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Verify and validate data for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to gather necessary data and ensure the timely entry of information.
  • Generate and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and databases as required by management.
  • Assist with data audits and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Support training for new staff on data entry procedures and software usage.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical terminology is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and data entry software
