About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Data Insights Analyst to join the Data Analytics & Strategy team within Student Services & Operations, for a six-month secondment. In this role, you will use your data analytics and communication skills to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making across the University. This role will see you conduct high‑level research and analysis, build datasets, models and reports, and translate findings into compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including senior leaders. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful, data‑driven outcomes in a collaborative and purpose‑driven environment, while supporting continuous improvement across the University. What’s Required * Demonstrated experience in analysis and problem-solving, with the ability to apply appropriate data analytics methodologies to various problems, including quantitative analysis, forecasting, market research, and/or spatial analysis. * A self-driven, entrepreneurial approach, with demonstrated ability to solve problems and develop creative solutions in a fast-paced agile environment. * High-level experience using R, SQL or Python to undertake analyses and derive insights. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical analysis into compelling narratives that can be used to influence a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executive audiences. * Excellent project management skills with the ability to take initiative, prioritise tasks, manage workflows and meet deadlines. * Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to help other members of your team to achieve a common goal quickly and effectively, including providing support and guidance to other staff. * Demonstrated ability to establish and foster good working relationships with a diverse range of people and contribute to a team environment. * Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI is also favourable. Qualifications and Licences * Knowledge or training equivalent to: Tertiary level qualifications in economics, statistics, business, data science or related analytical field and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.   Salary details * Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130,942. comprising base salary within the range of $101,821 to $111,917 plus 17% superannuation.   How to Apply?
