About this opportunity
We’re passionate about enabling the group to deliver against our environmental strategy ambitions, protect nature and support the UK’s ambition to be Net Zero by 2050. If you’re too, we could be a great fit!
We’re a high profile and impactful team. The Supply Chain & Technology Sustainability Team sits within Group Sourcing & Supplier Management, and we’re responsible for ensuring we improve the sustainability impacts of our supply chain. This includes reducing the carbon emissions that our suppliers generate and ensuring our suppliers meet other broader Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) requirements around issues such as ethics, modern slavery, human rights and nature.
This role is crucial in supporting how we improve the assessment and compliance of our suppliers (new and existing) against evolving ESG requirements. We align ourselves to the Group’s Sustainability strategy and ambitions and in particular the Group’s public ambition to reduce supply chain emissions by 50% by 2030, on the path to net zero by 2050. Our broader team have accountability for Sustainability for the Group Chief Operating Office, providing the opportunity to gain exposure and learning around activity to improve the Sustainability of our technology and data.
In this role you’ll be designing and delivering an approach for managing and optimising use of data from multiple sources. Primarily focusing on supply chains, you’ll be working to identify how we can give better visibility of important data to stakeholders, as well as using the data we have to better inform future plans, mapping data gaps and finding ways to close those gaps. You ‘ll anticipate future trends and developments with ESG data, and engage in hands-on tasks like research, data analysis, information visualization, and report creation.
