Job Summary: We are seeking a senior Microsoft BI (SSIS) & SQL Server Database Developer responsible for building robust database structures and high-performance ETL processes. Responsibilities: • ETL Engineering (SSIS): Design and maintain end-to-end data integration packages using Control Flow and Data Flow tasks. Package deployment, configurations and automated scheduling using Autosys. • Database Development: Create and optimize critical database objects, including stored procedures, Functions, Triggers and Views using T-SQL. • Data Modeling: Architect relational schemas (OLTP) and dimensional models (OLAP) including Star and Snowflake schemas for data warehousing. • Troubleshoot and Optimize: Using tools like SQL Profiler , review execution plans to identify bottlenecks and optimize query performance through indexing and partitioning. • Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Implement data validation, cleansing, transformation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency throughout the data lifecycle. • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them to technical solutions. • Adhere to Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, establish coding standards, and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. • Expert-level knowledge of SSIS. • Strong hands-on coding proficiency in Visual C# to extend SSIS beyond it’s built-in capabilities. • Experience with Code versioning tools (Bitbucket, Github) • Experience with CI/CD and setting up pipelines. • Solid understanding of database design principles, data modelling, schemas and data warehousing solutions. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex data issues independently.
Responsibilities
The role involves designing and maintaining end-to-end ETL processes using SSIS and optimizing critical database objects with T-SQL. The lead will also architect relational and dimensional schemas while ensuring data quality and integrity across the data lifecycle.
