The Data Integrity Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the quality and integrity of identity management data within Ontario’s healthcare system. Reporting to the Enterprise Data Management portfolio, this role ensures the accuracy of Admission, Discharge, and Transfer (ADT) data in the Provincial Client Registry (PCR/EMPI) and provider data in the Provincial Provider Registry (PPR).

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned data sources (e.g., hospitals, RHPA colleges) contributing to the PCR and PPR.
  • Analyze inbound records and perform manual linking, unlinking, and merging of patient and provider data.
  • Support data source staff in resolving data integrity issues and monitor progress in reducing task queues.
  • Deliver training and guidance on the use of the PCR/PPR Inspector tool for data integrity management.
  • Investigate and resolve complex data issues such as duplicate records, overlays, and patient unmerges.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure coverage and timely completion of assigned tasks and tickets.
  • Maintain ownership of assigned data sources and ensure high service quality and data integrity.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on record accuracy and escalate issues as needed.
  • Contribute to data quality improvement initiatives and support execution of new analysis or reporting strategies.
  • Recommend process efficiencies and improvements to reduce data quality issues.
  • Make informed decisions on record linking based on thorough analysis.
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards to prevent data breaches and ensure patient safety.

Here is what you will need to be successful:

Education and Experience:

  • College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management.
  • CHIMA designation is an asset.
  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., hospital or health agency) preferred.
  • 1–3 years of health information management experience.
  • Experience handling Personal Health Information (PHI) with a strong understanding of privacy and security.
  • Familiarity with health information systems, privacy legislation (Ontario/Canada), and patient safety principles.

  • Strong understanding of PHI privacy and security protocols.
  • Proficient in health information and data analysis, especially identity record management.
  • Effective relationship management with data source contacts (e.g., hospitals, colleges).
  • Confident decision-making in linking and validating patient/provider records.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for error remediation.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Awareness of patient safety implications tied to data accuracy.
  • Emotional intelligence and self-awareness in team and client interactions.
