Description
SAIC is seeking a Data Link Test Engineer to support the U.S. Army’s Network Design Facility (ANDF) in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will work in a laboratory environment conducting system testing on both existing data link hardware and new hardware under consideration for fielding. These systems support Army tactical Command and Control (C2) operations in joint and multinational environments. Primary Responsibilities: Develop, revise, and execute test cases to ensure information systems meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. Execute, document, and verify test results. Document and submit test execution findings and issues to Senior Testers or the Test Lead. Validate existing system requirements supporting host platforms through interoperability testing. Test and validate emerging system capabilities for follow-on data link radios. Support the development and validation of test cases used for interoperability testing. Develop test procedures and metrics for higher-level acceptance testing. Must be a current US Citizen. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Clearance Requirements: Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required. Required Skills: Experience developing and executing test cases in a formal software testing environment. Knowledge of Link 16 systems and associated equipment. Working knowledge of data capture and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark) for testing and troubleshooting. Ability to research and perform testing related to radio functionality. Experience integrating and troubleshooting hardware and software in a simulation environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present test findings to engineering teams. Experience testing new radio software releases to validate fixes and identify deviations. Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Desired Skills: Knowledge of Army and NATO tactical data links. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
