JOB REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of 5–7 years in data governance, data management, or related roles (preferably in energy networks, utilities, or regulated industries).
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA, DCAM).
  • Strong skills in cross-functional communication, governance council facilitation, and change management.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, GDPR, and data privacy/security best practices.
  • Ability to define governance KPIs, measure maturity, and present findings to executive leadership.
  • Experience with data catalog, metadata management, or MDM tools (collaboration with Data Management & Catalog Specialist).

Responsibilities
  • Define, implement, and enhance data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Establish data ownership and stewardship models aligned with business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain the Data Excellence Policy, including roles, processes, and best practices.
  • Facilitate governance committees, provide expert guidance, and escalate data issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR) and manage data-related risks.
  • Provide training and communication on data governance principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate to establish data quality standards and monitor metrics.
