Are you passionate about data, strategy, and building a culture where information is treated as a core asset? We’re looking for an experienced Data Management Manager to lead the charge in shaping and embedding a best-in-class enterprise Data Management Framework. This is a pivotal role in ensuring our data is accurate, well-governed, and delivering real value to the organisation—while also influencing cultural and strategic change across all levels of the Society.
Who Are We?
Not just another building society. Not just another job.
We’re the fourth biggest building society in the UK and what makes us a bit different is that we’re a mutual organisation. We don’t have shareholders; we’re owned by our members.
Our colleagues say Skipton’s a great place to work, and you could be one of them, bringing with you new ideas on how we can keep customers at the heart of what we do.
Whatever your background, and whatever your goals, we’ll help you take the next step towards a better future.
As Data Management Manager, you’ll take ownership of our enterprise-wide Data Management strategy, defining the frameworks and standards that govern how data is catalogued, understood, and maintained across its lifecycle—from creation through to archiving or destruction.
What’s In It For You?
Skipton values work/life balance and we are proud to support hybrid and flexible working, where possible. We have a newly refurbished head office which offers a vibrant and collaborative working space.
We have a range of other benefits available to you including;
What Will You Be Doing?
You’ll lead a team of Data Management Specialists, fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and accountability while ensuring we have the right people, processes, and tools in place. Working closely with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and the Head of Data Capability, you’ll embed a data-literate culture across the Society, integrating data management into wider governance and change frameworks. You’ll also chair data forums, drive the adoption of data management best practices, and partner with architectural teams to deliver a consistent enterprise data model. This is a leadership role that combines technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and strong people skills to ensure that data underpins informed decisions, regulatory compliance, and operational success.
