Responsibilities: The Data Manager will play a key role collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop dashboards and reports as well as managing the underlying data warehouse. The dashboards and reports will deliver the necessary metrics & KPI’s to key stakeholders for decision-making and customer solution development & delivery. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience using a variety of data visualization tools and techniques (querying and data visualization) to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform them into actionable reports, data sets, and dashboards.
Essential Duties: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below. Other duties may be assigned to meet changing business needs.
· Design and develop dashboards and reports to support the preparation of customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
· Design & develop dashboards and reports for measuring internal performance, productivity and financial metrics and KPI’s.
· Provide training to all stakeholders in the use of dashboards and reports.
· Assist sales department with CRM (Salesforce) data management & visualizations.
· Assist marketing department (Hubspot) with projects related to lead/customer development.
· Maintain working knowledge of all CVI & Capes business lines and products.
· Some occasional travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related business curriculum.
· Minimum 3 years of experience as a data manager or related role.
· Demonstrated knowledge of BI tools, data analysis and data visualization (Power BI, etc.).
· Knowledge of data warehousing platforms (Snowflake, etc.)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, CSV, VBA and SQL).
· Knowledge of AI tools, CRM applications and/or CargoWise One will be a plus.
· Experience in the maritime or supply chain industry is a plus.
· Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and exercise sound business judgment.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet a variety of deadlines.
