The University is seeking a Data Manager to support the GroundsWell Consortium, funded by the UK Prevention Research Partnership, which explores how urban green and blue spaces can reduce health inequalities. You will also contribute to the Healthy Urban Places Consortium, funded by UKRI. Responsibilities include designing and managing a data service to handle diverse datasets (e.g., Electronic Health Records, geospatial data) and ensuring data governance, compliance and disclosure control. The Data Manager will maintain metadata dictionaries, produce end-user documentation and collaborate with researchers and external partners. Strong skills in data management, statistical analysis, problem-solving and communication are essential. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research on urban health. More information is available at GroundsWell and Healthy Urban Places.
You should have a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent).
The post is available for 15 months (starting June 2025 or up to September 2026).
Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work 60% of their time on campus.
This role is eligible for sponsorship under the skilled worker route.
