__________ NATIONAL POISONS CENTRE | TE POKAPŪ MĀTAURANGA TĀOKE DIVISION OF HEALTH SCIENCES | TE WĀHANGA MATUA MĀTAU HAUORA Who we are | Ko wai mātou The National Poisons Centre is a specialised unit dedicated to providing poisoning assessment and treatment advice to the entire population of New Zealand that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as part of the Division of Health Sciences at the University of Otago. The role | Te mahi As Research Fellow/Data Manager, you will: • Analyse National Poisons Centre (NPC) data to identify poisoning trends and generate public health insights. • Maintain and enhance NPC data systems, reporting processes, and data quality frameworks. • Produce reports and respond to data requests from health sector partners and stakeholders. • Contribute to research publications and presentations that advance the knowledge of poisoning in New Zealand. Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako Must possess a post-graduate degree in pharmacy, pharmacology, toxicology, public health, or related discipline. Advanced experience analysing quantitative health data using statistical software is essential. To be successful in this role, you must be very well organised, self-motivated and have high level of attention to detail.
