Terms of Employment: Permanent, 12 month position
QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENSURE
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Associate’s Degree, preferred
- Experience using PowerSchool, preferred
- Previous office experience in the educational setting, preferred
- Participation in initial and ongoing training, required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE)
- This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.
- Work frequently requires standing, walking and sitting and occasionally requires using hands to finger, handle or feel, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, lifting and repetitive motions.
- Work has standard vision requirements.
- Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly.
- Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound.
- Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE)
- General knowledge of computers, computer commands, peripherals, and various operating systems, and general office machines.
- Knowledge of the attendance regulations in the Student Attendance and School Accounting Manual.
- Considerable knowledge of data management, policies and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of district policies, processes and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of specific software types and reports used in a school system.
- Ability to generate typical business correspondence exhibiting strong skills in vocabulary, grammar, and spelling.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with little direct supervision; to sort and place items in proper sequence; to compare and compile written information carefully and accurately.
- Ability to learn specialized software or equipment based on district need.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and maintain user manuals related to software systems supported.
- Ability to generate applicable reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, vendors and the general public.
