In this role, you’ll: Work on enterprise‑wide transformation programs (ERP, CRM, scheduling, finance, supply chain & field service) Partner with senior leaders, project teams, and global transformation stakeholders Play a key role in reducing business risk and safeguarding data integrity Be trusted as a subject matter expert during critical cutover periods About the Role As a Data Migration Analyst, you will be accountable for planning, mapping, transforming, validating, and migrating data from legacy systems into target platforms such as ERP, CRM, and Master Data Management (MDM) systems. You’ll ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance while supporting multiple migration cycles including mock conversions, test loads, dress rehearsals, and production cutovers. This is a high‑impact role within O’Brien’s transformation landscape. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Mapping Analyse ERP and MDM data import templates, structures, and validation rules Identify required source systems and datasets (primarily ERP) Produce detailed source‑to‑target mapping documentation, including: Field‑level mappings Transformation, translation, and derivation rules Business rules, defaults, and data quality assumptions Data Extraction & Transformation Design and develop repeatable data extraction solutions Transform and cleanse data to meet target system requirements Perform data standardisation, code/value translations, and master data alignment Support multiple migration cycles across test and cutover phases Data Load & Validation Prepare and validate ERP and MDM import files Support data loads across non‑production and production environments Perform reconciliations and validation to confirm completeness and accuracy Troubleshoot and resolve data load issues within tight timeframes Project & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with functional consultants, technical teams, and business SMEs Support cutover planning and execution from a data perspective Provide clear updates on status, risks, and issues related to migration activity What You’ll Bring Essential Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or equivalent experience 3–5+ years’ experience in data migration, data engineering, or data analysis roles Strong SQL skills (T‑SQL / PL‑SQL) Hands‑on ETL/ELT experience (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, dbt, Pentaho) Proven experience delivering source‑to‑target mappings and transformation logic Data profiling, quality rules, reconciliation, and audit controls experience Experience supporting SIT/UAT testing, defect management, and cutover activities Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Desirable Experience ERP, CRM, or Field Service migrations (e.g. Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce) Exposure to Power Platform / Power BI, Azure DevOps, Git, or CI/CD pipelines Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance frameworks Knowledge of Australian privacy legislation and data security requirements Background in contact centre, field workforce, inventory, or supply chain data domains Python or PowerShell scripting for automation and validation Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer, Informatica, Talend, PRINCE2, Agile, or ITIL Your Impact In this role, you will help ensure O’Brien’s data is accurate, trusted, and migration‑ready, directly supporting business continuity and successful platform transformation across the organisation. -- If you meet the above criteria and you’re seeking a rewarding career with a nationally recognised household brand, then we would love to hear from you.
