This is a remote position. Virtual Rockstar is hiring a Data Migration & Processing Specialist on behalf of a fast-growing healthcare technology company. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in data migration, cleaning, transformation, and validation—especially in high-volume environments where accuracy and efficiency are critical. As the company continues to grow, data migration and processing have become a critical part of successful client implementation—especially for practices handling large patient datasets. Position Summary The Data Migration & Processing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring patient data from external systems is accurately processed, cleaned, and integrated into the platform. This includes working with HIPAA-protected data from EHR exports, CSV files, spreadsheets, and clinical documents. This is not a basic data entry role. This position requires someone who can clean, standardize, transform, and validate healthcare data with a high level of accuracy. Errors in this role can directly impact patient care and provider trust, making attention to detail and accountability essential. Key Responsibilities Data Processing & Migration Upload and organize patient records from multiple data sources (CSV, spreadsheets, clinical documents) Prepare and structure large datasets for system migration Ensure accurate and efficient data transfer into the platform Data Cleaning, Transformation & Validation Clean and standardize datasets from external systems Identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent data Normalize formats (names, dates, medical data) Validate data accuracy before and after migration AI-Assisted Data Processing Utilize AI tools to extract and process patient data Generate structured patient records Review and validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy Quality Assurance Perform detailed QA checks to ensure near-zero error rates Identify and resolve issues proactively before they impact implementation Maintain high standards of data integrity and consistency Tracking & Communication Update implementation trackers and progress reports Communicate updates, blockers, and issues clearly with the team Tools You’ll Use Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets CSV files and structured datasets Internal AI tools and data processing systems Requirements Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets Ability to clean, sort, filter, and validate large datasets Experience working with CSV files and structured data High attention to detail and accuracy Experience handling sensitive or confidential data Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, process-driven environment Data Sensitivity & Compliance Comfortable working with HIPAA-protected patient data Maintains strict confidentiality and data security standards Understands that accuracy is critical and non-negotiable Success Metrics Near-zero error rate in processed data High processing speed and efficiency Low rework percentage Ability to identify and flag issues proactively Non-Negotiables Experience in data migration, cleaning, transformation, and validation (not basic data entry) Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy High level of ownership and accountability Ability to follow structured processes consistently This Role is Not a Fit If You only have basic data entry experience You are not comfortable working with spreadsheets daily You struggle with attention to detail You prefer unstructured or creative work over process-driven tasks Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
