This role offers an exciting opportunity for an early-career data professional to contribute to the development, maintenance, and operational support of data systems within the healthcare technology space. You will work hands-on with ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL, Python, and cloud/on-premises environments, ensuring data accuracy and operational reliability. About half of your time will be dedicated to managing support tickets and resolving operational data issues, while the other half involves building and improving data pipelines. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, providing exposure to analysts, developers, and business teams while gaining specialized experience in healthcare and claims processing data. You will develop strong technical skills and grow your data engineering expertise in a supportive, inclusive, and mission-driven environment. Accountabilities: · Assist in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting ETL/ELT data pipelines for healthcare and TPA claims processing across on-premises and cloud environments. · Manage operational support tickets, responding to user requests, researching data questions, and resolving data discrepancies efficiently. · Monitor data pipelines, logs, and production processes to ensure stability and performance. · Support data quality by performing routine checks, maintaining documentation, and following up on accuracy issues. · Collaborate with Data Analysts, Developers, and business users to understand data needs and support ongoing reporting and operations. · Participate in team meetings, sprints, and knowledge-sharing sessions to continue developing technical skills. · 2–3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical role. · Proficiency in Python and SQL, including query writing, joins, basic transformations, and troubleshooting. · Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or AWS RDS. · Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data validation, and data quality monitoring. · Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and basic Linux command-line usage preferred. · Experience managing support tickets or operational data issues (~50% of the role). · Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. · Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to document findings and processes. · Collaborative mindset, self-motivation, and eagerness to learn from senior team members. · Bonus: familiarity with healthcare EDI formats, orchestration tools (Airflow), containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, or modern data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake). · Competitive base salary ($65,000–$90,000 annually, depending on location, skills, and experience). · Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and mental health coverage effective from day one. · Flexible work arrangements and an unlimited PTO policy. · Retirement planning support and other voluntary benefits. · Professional development opportunities, mentorship, and learning budgets. · Inclusive, collaborative, and mission-driven culture with recognition programs and team events.
