Job Description The Team At Palo Alto Networks, success is driven by leveraging trusted data to inform strategic decisions across our entire Go-to-Market (GTM) engine. Our Data Operations Team, a core function within GTM Business Operations, ensures our critical sales and customer data (primarily in Salesforce.com) is governed, accurate, and reliable. We are the essential front line for data quality. As a Data Operations Specialist, you will execute the data maintenance, monitoring, and resolution needed to directly impact sales velocity, reporting accuracy, and the overall customer experience. You'll manage high-priority escalations, track data changes, and identify trends to drive continuous improvement in our systems and policies. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Sales Operations and requires extensive partnership across GTM Business Operations, Customer Support, IT, Finance, and other organizations. You ensure our teams have the trusted data foundation required to secure the future. Job Summary As a Data Operations Specialist, you will be on the front line of data quality, ensuring our critical sales and customer data is governed, accurate, and reliable. You will execute data maintenance, monitoring, and resolution to directly impact sales velocity and reporting accuracy. This role involves managing high-priority escalations, tracking data changes, and identifying trends to drive continuous improvement in our systems and policies in partnership with GTM Business Operations, IT, and Finance. Qualifications Key Responsibilities Prioritize and handle a high volume of data service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Execute complex updates to account hierarchies and firmographic data by meticulously researching and analyzing public and third-party data sources. Act as a critical enforcer of established data standards and policies, ensuring consistent adherence across teams to maintain peak data integrity. Perform necessary analysis and large-scale updates to account information, utilizing internal tools to drive measurable improvements in data accuracy. Investigate and manage escalated corner case issues, providing thorough root-cause analysis and clear documentation. Monitor and record trends in service requests, interpreting dashboard results to propose and implement process enhancements. Proactively collaborate and exchange information with the broader Data Operations Team and other cross-functional partners to document and refine data standards. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data operations, sales operations, or a related role with a strong focus on data quality. Highly detail-oriented with a proven ability to independently investigate, validate, and correct data integrity issues. Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data manipulation. Ability to operate independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English. Preferred Qualifications Significant hands-on experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) and related tools (e.g., SOQL, ETL, Salesforce Inspector). Demonstrated experience in managing and resolving stakeholder escalations effectively. A business-centric mindset with experience collaborating across various functional teams like Sales, IT, and Finance. Proven ability to rapidly learn new tools, platforms, and business processes.
