The State of Wisconsin, Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is hiring a Data Operations Specialist (IS Comprehensive Services-Senior). This position is located at Volk Field in Camp Douglas.

Volk Field is one of only four Air National Guard Combat Readiness Training Centers in the nation, and the only one that does not share its airfield with a civilian airport. The Training Center Mission is to provide a year-round integrated training environment (airspace, facilities, equipment) for units to enhance their combat capabilities and readiness.

POSITION SUMMARY

Volk Field Cyber provides systems support to Volk Field Air National Guard Bureau, all tenant units and detachments, and transient training customers. This role requires a broad knowledge of technical expertise in the operation and management of radio systems, data and video distribution systems, classified and unclassified video telephony systems, network transport equipment, and process improvement. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills, assists in network design, computer systems design and operation, and enhances network and electromagnetic capabilities to defend national interests.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates who meet minimum qualifications will have experience with:

• Performing maintenance, testing, configuration, and technical support of hardware, software, or communications equipment.
• Serving in a role developing or designing applications for IT or communications system or enclave.

In addition to the minimum qualifications, well-qualified candidates will also have experience in the following preferred qualifications:

• Performing maintenance, testing, configuration, installation, and technical support of hardware, software, or telecommunications equipment.
• Mission capabilities, Local, Air Force, and DoD guidelines, and standards as it relates to communication and cyber within DoD.
• Developing and evaluating application alternatives that solve the needs of the business area or agency.
