Description

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we have strived to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create.
The Data Office department is responsible for data associated with the product, AI, marketing, financial, sales, and all other domains at JetBrains. Our department is needed to provide up-to-date, transparent, and reliable data, and data services.
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced, detail-focused, and self-motivated Data Partner – the owner of data as a product who will work with data consumers and data teams, listen and analyze their problems, propose solutions, and advocate for them.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Collect and analyze requirements for analytical dashboards, data marts, and ETL pipelines in one of the company’s data domains.
  • Analyze data sources, formulate contracts with data suppliers, design and propose solutions for data engineering and BI teams, and test the final result.
  • Manage the data domain as a product manager, including diving into the business sense, challenging client requirements, managing priorities, and raising the additional value of data.
  • Coordinate the domain BI-DWH team as a project manager by leading scrum processes, decomposing tasks, and planning and coordinating cross-team projects.
  • Manage BI-DWH artifacts in the knowledge base, supplement the glossary, maintain the data catalog, and visualize complex solutions.
  • Be an active and vigilant team player driving the team’s efforts, managing internal customer expectations, and finding bottlenecks and risks and ways to resolve them.

We will be happy to have you on our team if you:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience as a data partner or system analyst.
  • Have experience managing data-related projects and products.
  • Have a deep understanding of SQL.
  • Can distinguish a star from a snowflake, and know when to use Data Vault or Anchor.
  • Have experience with data quality practices.
  • Love when people come to you with problems rather than solutions, but if they bring you a solution, you always analyze and double-check it.

We’d be especially thrilled if you:

  • Have experience in the financial data domain.
  • Can read and write code in Python.
  • Have experience with Apache Airflow.
  • Have experience with Tableau or Power BI.
